About Us

 

The Somaliland National Tender Board is Somaliland government’s public procurement and asset disposal regulatory body in charge of procurement financed from the national budget Established under the Public Procurement Act 82 of 2018, is committed to improving transparency and efficiently in public procurement in Somaliland.

The National Tender Board is appointed by the president of Somaliland and Comprises of Chairman and 8 Board members supported by the Director General who is appointed by the president and several other departments.

The National Tender Board is committed to creating a robust, flexible and responsive public procurement system that will be aligned with and supporting the NTB vision, mission and strategic objectives and ensure achievement of Value for Money.
 

 

Our role

The Act sets up the National Tender Board to:-

 

  • Enable open, transparent and application of fair, competitive, non-discriminatory, and value for money
  • Procurement and disposal standards and practices in Somaliland.
  • Develop and implement procurement standards, systems and best practices in Somaliland.
  • Build the capacity of procurement units in procuring entities in Somaliland
  • Monitor compliance of procurement, procuring entities in Somaliland.
